It's a...

...girl! I absolutely cannot believe it! We are overjoyed to be having a little girl.

It has been quite a while since my last post. Let's just say things got really interesting after that post. The following week I started the spring semester, and my life was basically miserable until about 3 weeks ago. I had the worst morning all day sickness I could have ever imagined. I could barely function, much less write a blog post, and school was a nightmare! Things are much better now. The nausea and vomiting finally stopped at around 15 weeks, and tomorrow I will be 18 weeks pregnant! Time is flying by. I decided I really need to write a post because I do not want to forget my whole pregnancy after it's over. I'll do a much better job now of keeping up. Since the last post, as far as my pregnancy goes, other than the sickness, it has been fairly smooth. Since I lost my very first son at 23 weeks because of a weak cervix, I have to get a cerclage, a minor procedure where you cervix is stitched until you reach full term, at about 17 weeks for every pregnancy. I got that done last Tuesday, and now my mind is much more at ease. Being high risk can be a little stressful, but I like my doctor. She is being very cautious and that makes it easier.

Some milestones of my pregnancy that I don't want to forget:
March 23, 2015: I felt my sweet girl kick for the first time while I was up late studying for a pharmacology exam.
April 8, 2015: We found out it is a girl. We all knew in our hearts that it was, but she was being very difficult modest the first time we tried to find out and wouldn't open her legs! Having it confirmed made our week. Her grandmothers were happier than we were! We also bought her first onesie that day. We let her big brother pick it out. He's really excited to have a little sister on the way.

Next on our agenda is our big move to Jackson, MS. I have to move there to finish my program at the medical center. Shortly after the move we will go on our babymoon vacation. Since I am high risk, we decided to do it early just in case I'm not allowed to later. We're going to spend a week in Canada. When we get back I get to start working on her nursery. So far I have finished to mood board and ordered one thing for the nursery. I am so excited to get started. I am going to post every step of the process up until it's finished. Step one was finding inspiration. My go-to for inspiration is always Pinterest. I decided to go with a pink and gold color scheme with no "theme". I just want it to feel like a princess sleeps in that room. So step two was creating a design board:

It just makes my heart smile to see it all in one place. I can't wait to make it all come together! So far I've only ordered the starburst mirror because it was a deal I could not pass up, but for everything else I am going to wait until we are settled in our new place. I will post a complete source list when everything is all done.
