Look At Her Grow: Izzy is 9 Months Old!

Nine months! That means we are literally 3 months away from our girl's first birthday! Party planning is in full swing, and I'm super excited! We've hit some pretty big milestones in the last month. I know I'm starting to sound like a broken record, but I really can't believe how fast my sweet baby girl is growing up! Here's an update:

Ok, the silver glitter may not have been the best choice, but it was already too late when I realized it. #oops

Growth

Her next checkup is this coming week, and I will find out exactly how much she's grown, but if I had to guess I'd say she's picked up a few pounds and inches. We're still squeezing into 6-9 month clothes, but it's about time to size up to 9-12 months. She's still in a size 3 diaper and size 4 shoe.

Development

This has been a pretty exciting month! She's pretty much a pro crawler now, and she's still pulling up on furniture, but now she cruises! She's ALWAYS into something, which keeps us running. She has teeth now! TWO! It's only the cutest thing I've ever seen. My favorite thing thats happened the month...*drumroll*....WORDS! Real words! Before 9 months. I couldn't believe it! What can she say? I'm glad you asked. Her favorite word is "hot". She also says "uh-oh" when she drops something, and just yesterday she finally said MAMA! I screamed so loud that she'll probably never say it again. Ha! But seriously, I hope she does. I can't wait to see what happens this month!

Sleep

I can finally say she's doing really good. She's still a very early riser. She's up at about 4 or 5 in the morning. I have to get in bed at around 9 to avoid being a very cranky mommy, but it's better than waking up in the middle of the night. I'm hoping by the time she's one, she's sleeping 11-12 hours a night. One can only hope, right?

Feeding

This is one thing we've never had a problem with. Izzy's an awesome eater. She's not picky at all. She'll eat pretty much anything you give her. I've been transitioning her to table food slowly. Mashed potatoes, peas, yogurt, chicken, etc. Now that she has a couple teeth, she's been eating a lot less pureed baby food. She's still nursing at home and taking formula when I'm away. I've been considering weaning soon. I've tried giving a bottle instead of nursing, and that does not go well so I'm not sure when the right time to wean will be. I don't think she's ready just yet. Or maybe I'm not ready!

That's it! No? You wanted one more picture? Ok, fine.
