About Me

Hey there! I’m Shajauna—pronounced “Shawana”. I’m convinced my mom spelled it wrong when I was born, but that’s another story. I’m a wife, mother, step-mother, and a third fourth-year pharmacy student, which means it’s safe to say I have my hands full!

I started this blog to give myself an outlet for my creativity. While I love pharmacy and am passionate about healthcare, there is another side of me that loves crafting, decorating, organizing, family celebrations, and all things pretty. I’m looking forward to sharing with you how I manage pharmacy school (and soon my pharmacy career) while raising two children and managing my home life. It’s a wild ride, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!

I’m the wife of the most amazing man on the planet. We met online in 2012, fell hopelessly in love, got married in a courthouse in 2013, and had a wedding on our 1-year anniversary in 2014. My family of two (my son, Cameron, and I) instantly became a family of four (my stepson, Noah).

In 2015, we welcomed our beautiful baby girl, Isabelle, into the world, and four became five.

My journey was not the typical “graduate high school and go straight to pharmacy school” journey like most pharmacy students. I made several decisions between graduating high school and getting where I am today that changed the course of my life, including having my son at 19 and dropping completely out of college for a while. Thankfully, I eventually got back on track and will graduate pharmacy school in just one year. I want to be an inspiration to other young women to keep fighting to reach every goal they set, even if, like me, they take the scenic route.

Thank you so much for stopping by to hang out with me! Take your shoes off and stay awhile. I’d love to hear from you. Leave me a comment on a post you like or, even better, link up with me on social media!
